Boys’ soccer team dominates St. Brendan High School

On Tuesday, November 28, MAST Academy’s Boys’ soccer team won in a 6-1 match against St. Brendan High School

MAST Academy beats St. Brendan after a pretty intense match ending in a final score of 6-1. All of MAST’s team was locked in during the match causing a triumphant win.

Senior Nico Alvarez (#9) made the first goal of the match in the 12th minute and only 11 minutes later junior Santiago Casserly (#5) scored another goal.

Senior Nico Alvarez and his teammates celebrated his first goal of the match which recognized senior Marcos Menendez, a teammate suffering from a leg injury.

A few minutes after St. Brendan High School called a time-out, goalie and senior Victor Kersting (#1) shouted out senior Marcos Menendez(#10) who is a player on the team who has a leg injury.

“Everything we do this match is for this guy [#10]” said Kersting

After, a player on St Brendan suffered a minor knee injury due to Kersting trying to save the ball. Then, in the 40th minute, Alvarez makes his second goal bringing MAST to a score of 3-0. 7 Minutes later Casserly made his second goal which caused St. Brendan to call another time-out. Alvarez then made his third goal of the match during the 64th minute making the team sit at a very comfortable lead.

Eventually, St. Brendan made their first goal which player Lucas Tomella scored during the 75th minute. This Prompted junior Santiago Rodriguez (#13) to close up the match with one last goal.

You can also expect some sports profiles from her as she loves interviewing people and anything athletic.
