Mast Academy
On February 25, Mast Academy students attended a presentation about the
Holocaust and got to hear from survivor Rose Falkovsky Silverberg. The event helped teach students about what happened during the Holocaust and what it was like to live through it.
The presentation started with an overview of the Holocaust, explaining how millions of Jewish people were killed by the Nazis during World War II.
Then, Rose Falkovsky Silverberg shared her personal story about surviving it. She talked about the struggles her family faced and what she went through as a Jewish child during that time.
Many students were touched by her story. “Hearing it from someone who actually lived through it made it feel more real,” one student said. The event was a reminder of why it’s important to remember history and make sure something like this never happens again.
