An anti-Semitic symbol was drawn on a classroom whiteboard at MAST Academy, according to an email sent to parents and faculty by principal Dr. Cadian Collman-Perez. According to a parent in a MAST parent group chat, a swastika was drawn on a whiteboard on May 6, Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Collman-Perez wrote in her e-mail that a thorough investigation is being conduction to find the culprit and she warned that the perpetrators would be immediately exited from MAST Academy.
“This type of behavior and display of hate is disgusting and unacceptable on all levels. Our school is not the place for this or any type of discriminatory behavior. Our goal every day is to ensure students and staff feel a sense of belonging and are able to teach and learn in a healthy and safe environment.” Collman-Perez wrote.
