Layla Jaime is both a student here at MAST and the president of The Museum Project (TMP) Club. The club is for high school volunteers based at Coral Gables Museum but the board consists of MAST students attempting to revive it.
“We’ve been working to recruit new students from all over Miami. We have a lot of students from Coral Gables, Palmetto, ISPA.” Jaime said of the club’s recruiting mission.
TMP hosts gallery nights, field trips and works with other organizations attempting to interact with the Miami cultural, historical, and art scene, especially; engaging with younger audiences in the community.

“I think it’s been really cool what we’ve been able to do and what we’re planning on doing”. Jaime added.
“We’ve had the chance to really let students explore their interests” Jaime said of TMP and the opportunities they offer. Essentially volunteers serve their community but in ways that are engaging for each individual. There is also networking and jobs volunteers have access to Jaime told The Beacon.
