Youtuber MatPat Retires after 13 years

Famous YouTube Celebrity Matthew Patrick or better known as “MatPat” has retired after 13 years of YouTube.

Since 2011 Matthew Patrick better known as MatPat, has been filming and producing theory videos with his wife Stephanie Patrick.

MatPat is the creator and former host of the channel Game Theory and his later spin-off channels Film Theory, Food Theory, and Style Theory.

On Jan 9th, 2024, MatPat announced his retirement on YouTube in a video titled “Goodbye Internet.” He shared his final day would be March 9th. 2024. It was a very spontaneous announcement that left fans shocked.

In his video MatPat talks about his reasons for retirement, he said, “I love you guys, I love overthinking, and I love theorizing, but I don’t love late nights, I don’t like the fact that Steph and I have been work first for over a decade”

Fans after receiving the sad news we’re heartbroken, but understanding of his want to retire. Having a family is a big job and fans understand how hard him, and his wife Stephanie, have been working even while having a son to take care of.

But just because Patrick is retiring from host of all the channels doesn’t mean they’ll go to waste and they won’t have any more content uploaded. During MatPat’s final video he reveals who he has chosen to be the new hosts each for one of his channels.

Tom Robinson, will be the new host of Game Theory, Lee Collins, is the new Film Theory host, Santiago Massa, is the new Food Theory host, and Amy Roberts is now the host of Style Theory.
