Wildlife investigator and activist for Florida habitats, Richard Kern visited Mast academy on December 18th to give a presentation, adding to the events of MAST Academy’s Winter Spirit Week.

This presentation was showcased to science classes in MAST Academy and explained how important the Everglades are to him. Not just the Everglades but Fisheating Creek. Kern also explained how the wildlife is in danger right now due to global warming and new inventions which emit gasses. A prime example is the shaping of Kissimmee River which caused the wildlife to suffer.

Kern has protected wildlife for years and has also been a huge part in protecting our planet by spreading awareness . He is also funded by philanthropic organizations such as the Batchelor Foundation, Kirk Foundation, Glenn W. Bailey Foundation, and the Holloman Price Foundation.
