Managing schoolwork can be tough, but many students have found strategies that help them stay on track. I spoke with two classmates, Simon Puyana and Simon Santarelli, to learn more about how they complete their assignments on time and which classes they find the easiest.
Simon Puyana explained that staying organized is key to completing his work on time. “I try to not procrastinate and put my work in my agenda,” he shared. By writing down his assignments, he ensures that he doesn’t forget anything important and has a clear view of what needs to be done. He feels that keeping an agenda helps him stay ahead, as he can see everything that needs to be done and can prioritize tasks based on their deadlines. Simon’s approach helps him avoid the stress of rushing to finish assignments at the last minute.
Simon Santarelli takes a slightly different approach. “I try to start my homework before I get home; then I feel like I have less work to do when I’m home” he explained. By starting his homework early, Simon feels he has more control over his time and doesn’t feel overwhelmed by a pile of work when he gets home. This method helps him finish tasks in smaller chunks, reducing the amount of work that builds up and gives him more time for himself later in the evening. He finds that starting early keeps him ahead of schedule and allows him to finish his assignments without feeling rushed.
When it comes to which class has the easiest work, Simon Puyana has his own opinion. He thinks history is the easiest subject. “I think history has the simplest work,” he said. For Simon, the assignments in history seem more manageable compared to other subjects. The readings and essays don’t feel as challenging to him, making it easier for him to keep up with the class. His experience with history suggests that the type of work and personal interest in the subject can make it feel easier to complete.
Simon Santarelli, however, has a different perspective. He believes biology has the easiest work. “Biology has the simplest work because we rarely receive homework,” he explained. The infrequency of assignments in biology makes it less stressful for him to stay on top of the course. Since he doesn’t have regular homework to complete, he feels like the workload is lighter, which makes it easier for him to balance his other subjects.
Both Simon Puyana and Simon Santarelli have developed strategies that work for them when it comes to completing their schoolwork. Whether it’s staying organized, starting assignments early, or finding the easiest subjects to focus on, these approaches help them manage their time better. Their different opinions on what makes a class easier show how personal preferences and study habits play a big role in how students handle their work.
