Do you enjoy not having to wear a uniform in school? I know I do. Last year, I had to wear a uniform, and I did not like it because I was not allowed to wear the clothes I liked. I usually try to pick out something to wear the night before. It just helps me plan out what I’m going to wear for school. 

The pros and coziness of no uniform 

Earlier this week I walked around the school interviewing freshmen, and they had mixed opinions. The first question I asked was “Do you like having no uniform in school?” They both liked having no uniform but for two different reasons. The first student I interviewed said, ” I think it’s comfier and I get to pick out what I want to wear daily.” The second student said, “I like having no uniform because it allows for personal expression.” I personally would say that I agree with the first student more and like to be comfortable too. 

Fashion struggles 

The second question was the question that the students did not agree on. The question was ” Is it easy to wear something different every day?” The first student did not think it was easy to wear something new every day. He said, “It’s kind of hard to pick what you want to wear every day.” The other student thought that it was easy to wear something different every day. She said, “It’s easy to find something new to wear every day because I have many options.” I agree with both of the students and think that sometimes it could be hard to pick an outfit every day, but for the most part, it is easy. 

Comparison 

 I think I could relate to both of the students’ opinions. Last year was easier because I would just put on my uniform and leave. Now I actually need to come up with what I’m going to wear to school, but it’s fun not to have a uniform. How would you respond to these questions? Do you like not having a uniform?
