Valentine’s day at MAST was special as ever being filled with love, friendship, and community spirit. From sweet surprises to heartfelt messages, students together shared moments with friends and lovers celebrating friendship and affection in many unique ways.
As the day approached, students could be seen planning surprises for their friends and partners.
For example, Ms. Gutierez, the personal fitness educator, organized a “Valentine’s Gram” service, where students could send personalized messages and small gifts, like flowers and candy, to their loved ones. These were delivered throughout the day, spreading joy and smiles. The art department also played a vital role in the festivities.
Students also brought snacks and treats to share with one another on the day.
Student Anabella Mazzotta (9th) spent the day hanging out with some friends. She said, “I spent time with some of my friends because it was one of my friend’s birthdays that day.” On this day of love, these friends celebrated their love for their friend by having fun with her on her birthday.
Kayah Hornek (10th) said she enjoyed that weekend with her boyfriend. “We went to an outdoor plaza and walked around. after we went to the movies and saw Paddington in Peru.” said Kayah. She had a fun time spending some quality time with her boyfriend and just being around each other. Kayah also said, “I wouldn’t really change much, but if I were it would be to eat more delicious food.”
There are many ways to enjoy you time on Valentines Day, whether it’s with friends, family, or your significant other. You can always have fun celebrating love and the people you love most.
