Club picture day was on Monday January 27, 2025. The day has been chaotic, and students have been running around all day trying to make it on time to their pictures, which has been hard because there have been major delays. The auditorium, where the club photos are being taken, as a result, has been exceedingly difficult to keep organized but the atmosphere itself has been extremely positive and cooperative.
Ms. Fernandez, the sponsor of the yearbook club describes the challenges and successes of the day as very stressful. Fernandez told The Beacon that the day can only be described in one word: “Complicated”.
“I kinda enjoy it because I get to skip class” is how Amy Garcia, Mast 10th Grader described the day. Amy is in 3 clubs: Women Of Tomorrow, Debate, and Best Buddies as such she has had many club photos to attend.
Ilan Spector a MAST 10th grader participates in four clubs, due to the variety of different clubs he is in; it has been a long day for him.
Spector had to go take a club photo in 4th period today and was there for 40 minutes waiting to take his picture. He then had to return during 6th period once more. He is not alone in his experience.
Since most students are in multiple clubs it has been a day filled with starts and stops. Going in one period and then needing to return later. Delays have only made it that much more challenging to know when to go to the auditorium and when to get to class.
“It was better here, than in the classroom” said Spector of the experience as a whole.
