Homecoming at MAST is one of the most anticipated events of the school year, bringing the
entire student body together to celebrate school spirit and unity. It’s a time filled with excitement,
where students get to dress up, show off their creative side, and have fun with friends. The week
leading up to the Homecoming dance is Spirit Week, where each day has a unique theme. The
themes include Jersey day Seniors vs. Newborns, and Pajama day. This themed dress-up week
helps build excitement and school spirit leading into the big event.
As the end of Spirit Week approaches, the energy reaches its peak with the MAST Pep Rally.
The entire school gathers outside in the field where each grade is divided into their own separate
sections. This event is packed with a dance performance, music, and competitive games. The Pep
Rally is all about coming together as a community, showing offMAST pride, and getting excited
for the weekend’s Homecoming dance. Emely Brave a senior at MAST Academy says “The pep
rally is my favorite part of homecoming week. Every year the pep rally is rigged to let the
seniors win and since I’m a senior this year my class will finally win the pep rally.”
Finally, Homecoming itself is the highlight of the week, offering a night where students can dress
their best, dance, and make unforgettable memories. Hannah Paz, a junior at MAST Academy
says “I can’t wait to see everyone at homecoming and just have a good time with my friends.”
Whether it’s the thrill of being part of the court, the fun of taking photos with friends, or just
enjoying the music and decorations. It’s an event that not only marks a special moment in the
academic year but also strengthens the bonds within the MAST community.
