On Wednesday, September 27th, MAST Academy’s boys’ and girls’ golf teams went head to head with Mater Lakes Academy at Cradon Golf Club. The Makos brought home a victory for MAST, their third victory in a row this season.

MAST’s boys’ varsity team played exceptionally, with the top 5 players of the match being MAST students. Out of 9 holes, freshman Borja Friend ended with 38 strokes, placing first in the match. Junior Christian Rodriguez and freshman Ignacio Friend tied for second with 40 strokes.

“Starters Alfonso Goyenche, twins Borja & Inigo Friend, Cipriano Montoya, and Christian Rodriguez hope to continue their winning ways,” said Mr. Raymond, the coach of the golf team, in an email.

“The girls’ team was led by a dynamic trio in Addison Foslid, Emi Corao, and Sara Montoya, and they got a huge boost from sixth grader Francesca Black,” Coach Raymond continued.

You can also expect some sports profiles from her as she loves interviewing people and anything athletic.
