No games were played as soon as Joe Biden was proclaimed president of the United States, he did not miss a beat. Within hours he was already signing executive orders and has currently surpassed most presidential executive orders signed in a month with a grand total of 29, just one less than Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who holds the record for most orders in their first month of presidency.
Some of the most important executive orders go over advancing racial equity and supporting undeserving communities through government (13985), preventing discrimination on the basis of gender or sexual orientation (13988), the ethical commitments by executive branch personnel (13989), protecting public health and environment working to restore science to fight against the climate crisis (13990), protecting the federal work place (13991). He also created multiple orders regarding immigration policies and concerns, and several relating to COVID-19 safety precautions.
Aside from executive orders Biden has also made seven presidential proclamations and nine memorandums. Among these memorandums included Preserving and Fortifying Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and several covering human rights. Executive actions may not create laws but it creates a plan to lead the country toward them. Seeing how active Biden has been so far brings hope that he will continue to keep up his work with his remaining time.
