Mast Academy’s track team is getting ready for a big season, with both experienced runners and first-time athletes working hard to improve. With tough practices and upcoming races, the team is looking to make a strong start.
lan Yanes, who has been running track for a few years now, feels confident about his performance. “Track is relatively easy because I’ve been doing track for a couple of years now,” Yanes said. “I think I will do good in races and get above 3rd place.” His experience gives him an edge as he prepares for competition.
Meanwhile, freshman Camila Blanco is just getting started.
“It’s my first time doing track. I enjoy it a lot, but practice gets me really tired,” she said. Even though the workouts can be exhausting, she’s having fun and learning as she goes.
With a mix of skilled runners and new athletes, the Mast track team is ready to take on the season. As they train and push there selves, they’re hoping for some great results in the races ahead.
